Biker (18) had a wild chase

The police wanted to check a motorcyclist with a strange license plate in Hard (Vorarlberg) on Wednesday. However, the biker did not think to stop and committed over 60 administrative offenses within a few minutes. The chase finally ended in a head-on crash. 

At around 12.40 p.m. on Wednesday, a civilian police patrol in Hard noticed a motorcycle with a conspicuous license plate. A license plate query finally confirmed the suspicion that the number plate could be fake. Consequently, a uniformed police patrol attempted to stop the motorcycle to carry out a check. At this point, the biker was already in Höchst. 

Caught fleeing
However, the motorcyclist disregarded the stop and instead fled - back to Hard. In the process, the driver committed a total of over 60 administrative offenses. In some cases, he created particularly dangerous situations. For example, he repeatedly disregarded attempts to stop him and drove through the local area at over 100 km/h on several occasions. Finally, the driver drove into a cul-de-sac in Hard. There he turned around and steered the bike directly towards a police car. There was a collision and that was the end of the escape attempt.

Total forgery
The biker, an 18-year-old man, was arrested. He was injured in the head-on collision and received outpatient treatment in hospital. The motorcycle and the police vehicle were damaged in the crash. It eventually turned out that the license plate was a total forgery. The 18-year-old was released.
