Two teenagers injured
Crashed into a tree, jump over a rock went wrong
Two serious accidents occurred on Tyrol's ski slopes on Monday. The victims are both 14 years old. One of them crashed into a tree. The other fell after jumping over a ledge. Both teenagers suffered serious injuries.
The first accident occurred at around 11 am. A teenager (14) from Germany was skiing down the red slope number 121b in the "Home of Lässig" ski area in Fieberbrunn (Kitzbühel district) towards the valley. "In the lower third, the winter sports enthusiast fell for unknown reasons", according to the police. The teenager then slid around 20 meters down the slope, went over the edge of the piste and crashed into a tree in the forest.
The 14-year-old suffered injuries to his back. After first aid, he was flown to the Innsbruck clinic by helicopter "C4".
The 14-year-old left the organized ski area and continued through a wooded area in the direction of Platzalm.

The second accident occurred at around 4 pm. Another 14-year-old Dutchman was skiing downhill on red piste number 4 in the Hochzillertal ski area in Kaltenbach (Schwaz district). "He left the organized ski area and continued through a wooded section in the direction of Platzalm," said the investigators. The teenager then jumped over a five-metre-high ledge and landed on the flat slope. He fell and suffered a serious leg injury as well as a serious head injury.
After first aid, the 14-year-old was flown to Innsbruck Hospital in the "Martin 7" helicopter.
