Attacks in Lehen
27-year-old confessed to the fatal stabs
A confession after silence! One of the two bloody attacks in Lehen (Salzburg) at the beginning of February has now been finally clarified. A Somali man (27) confessed to the fatal knife attack.
At first he gave hardly any details and remained silent about the massive accusations. Not any more, because a Somali man (27) has now confessed to stabbing a fellow countryman with a knife on the street in Salzburg-Lehen at the beginning of February. The 34-year-old did not survive the attack.
Man in custody
The police are currently still talking about a "partial confession" by the Somali - the man is in custody. According to the current state of the investigation, the two Africans are believed to have argued violently in an apartment. The incident moved to the street - where it escalated completely. A surveillance camera filmed the man's last minutes on Schießstattstraße. According to an acquaintance, the 34-year-old Somali had 13 children. "He was a very nice guy, always friendly", he told the "Krone".
Unanswered questions after attacks in Lehener Park
Shortly before the fatal knife attack, another bloody altercation took place not far from the crime scene. A group of almost 15 Syrians clashed in Lehener Park. One duo is said to have injured three men with knives. The police are currently investigating twelve persons known by name.
The dispute is said to have started at Salzburg Central Station. Two Syrians clashed so violently that the duo called for reinforcements. The rival groups then made their way to Lehen.
