"My last pitch"
Haselsteiner dropped out of “2 Minuten 2 Millionen”
Hans Peter Haselsteiner has dropped out of the Puls 4 start-up show "2 Minuten 2 Millionen". "It's my last pitch," said the investor on the show, which aired on Tuesday evening after innovative grain mills were presented.
He took his recent 80th birthday as the reason for his exit after ten years. In total, Haselsteiner invested more than eleven million euros in Austrian inventiveness during the show.
"Very much enjoyed" the ten years
The other investors applauded Haselsteiner on the show. The former boss of construction giant Strabag was also surprised by young entrepreneurs who were able to get their ideas off the ground thanks to his investments. In the show, he said that he was still connected to many investments and had also made some friends. "It was ten years that I really enjoyed," said Haselsteiner.
"Moved to tears"
"I was really moved to tears," confessed Katharina Schneider after he announced his departure. "I will miss him very much."
Eveline Steinberger, who only had a brief pleasure at his side, said: "For me, Hans Peter Haselsteiner is a man with a very big heart." For Heinrich Prokop, one thing is certain: "He will always remain my great role model." And Christian Jäger said goodbye with words of thanks: "I owe it to him that I am allowed to be here."
"No one has shaped the show as much as Hans Peter Haselsteiner in recent years," said Bernd Hinteregger. "He will forever remain one of the most important members of the '2 Minuten 2 Millionen' investor family."
Media manager takes over
His place on "2 Minuten 2 Millionen" will be taken over by Viennese media manager Michael Grabner.
In his mid-seventies, Grabner was the founding managing director of Mediaprint, among other things. Other professional positions include Österreichische Beteiligungs AG (ÖIAG), the Georg von Holtzbrinck Group and "Augsburger Allgemeine".
