Singer Alexander Eder
Five songs composed in five days in Seefeld
Local singer Alexander Eder spent almost a week in Seefeld with one of his band colleagues and two producers to compose new hits - with success, as the result shows. Tyrol has inspired him once again. He returns at the end of May 2024 and gives an open-air concert - see also the video.
12 noon sharp, valley station of the Rosshütte cable car in Seefeld, bright sunshine: numerous winter sports enthusiasts are hurtling down the ski slopes, others are already soaking up a good dose of vitamin D in a deckchair. In between, one group stands out from the crowd - because none of them are wearing ski suits, they are wearing sneakers instead of ski boots and they are still taking the funicular to the mountain station in the ski resort. We are talking about singer Alexander Eder, his band colleague Lukas Husak and the two German producers Jens Schneider and Jules Kalmbacher.
Open air concert takes place in May
"I was skiing here with friends three years ago and completely forgot about this incredible panorama," beams Eder as he stands on the terrace of the Rosshütte restaurant. He didn't choose this spot by chance: He will be giving an open-air concert right here on May 25, 2024. There will be a huge stage on this terrace, with space for around 1,000 fans all around. "We're doing a location check today, so to speak - it's really impressive here," says the Lower Austrian.
Songs are created in different ways
However, this tour is just the icing on the cake of his visit to Tyrol. "We've been here since Monday to work on new songs," reveals Husak. The quartet has pitched their tents in a specially rented house, where they sometimes work into the night - with success! "We wanted to do a rocking number again, recorded guitars and wrote melodies and lyrics," says Schneider, who has already worked with Max Giesinger, Mark Forster, Wincent Weiss and Sarah Connor, among others, together with Kalmbacher. But there is another way, as Eder reveals: "I had a certain line in mind that would be the title of the song. All the rest was then created based on that."
Patience required until the end of April/beginning of May
The full yield after this week: five new songs were created in five days. "I particularly liked one song. Ever since we wrote it, it's been omnipresent as a catchy tune. That's a good sign, even if you can never predict a hit," emphasizes Eder. Curious? A little patience is still required, as this song will not be released until the end of April/beginning of May.
There's one song in particular that I really like. Ever since we wrote it, it's been omnipresent as a catchy tune.

The timing of the release of songs should always be carefully considered. The TikTok platform also plays a role in this: "What works well there also works well in streaming. Songs now only become big if they are also big on TikTok," says Schneider.
"That also has a psychological effect here"
A day-long songwriting camp like this also has many positive side effects: "It has a psychological effect. We discuss various topics with each other here - such as music business issues. Jens and Jules have been in the business for much longer, so we can learn a lot from them," say Eder and Husak.
Sport is not neglected either, as the two reveal: "We train every day, doing Sascha Huber workouts, for example - between the boxes and microphones that have been set up." The only thing that suffers somewhat is healthy eating. "We admit it openly and honestly: we let it slide a little," smiles the crew.
"It's also very difficult"
The creative break that has lasted since the beginning of December 2023 is slowly coming to an end. The first live gigs and TV shows are on the agenda for March, with the next tour starting in September. "The rest period is good, but it's also very difficult to leave everything behind from one day to the next. But we talk about it within the band, support each other and create a certain routine during the break - that's hugely important. Sport, for example, is very important to me personally," says Eder, giving a deep insight and clarifying: "The fact is: we're already really looking forward to rocking the stage live again."
