The sudden death of Austrian artist Volker Grohskopf has left a huge gap, and not just in Vienna's high society. His four pedigree cats have lost their beloved masters and are now hoping - if possible together - for a new home.

Volker Grohskopf loved the stage and big productions. He produced numerous TV entertainment and cultural programs, such as the ORF broadcasts of the "Villach Carnival" or major productions from the Vienna State Opera and the Roman quarry in St. Margarethen.

But few people know that the artist was also a great animal lover. In addition to a dog and the blue-fronted amazon "Cora", he also gave four Maine Coon cats (between five and twelve years old) a loving home.

Long-standing friendship
"I had a long-standing friendship with Volker and our love of animals. His sudden death breaks my heart and it is a personal concern of mine that his pets are now in a great new place," says animal corner boss Maggie Entenfellner sadly.

Quartet in search of a home
Finding a place for all four cats together would certainly be in the spirit of the deceased. But this search is proving difficult; if necessary, they can be given to new owners in pairs.

Colorful bird
The 50-year-old blue-fronted amazon "Cora" is also to find a new home with bird lovers. She lives in a large aviary, but doesn't get along with other birds! The very vocal "Cora" should therefore not be socialized in the future, the new owners must have experience with keeping such animals.
