After house fire
Missing Viennese man with small children found
After a father (33) and his two children - two and five years old - were reported missing following a fire in Vienna-Floridsdorf on Monday afternoon, the family has now turned up again on Wednesday. "The police were able to reach them," confirms spokeswoman Barbara Gass.
The whereabouts of the five-year-old boy and the two-year-old girl were left open by the Vienna Provincial Police Headquarters. "However, they are healthy and safe," said Gass. The search will therefore be discontinued.
The family situation, which has been in conflict for some time, was already reported on Monday. The man is also said to have been banned from entering the house in the past. Divorce proceedings are also said to be pending.
Children and father missing since Monday
A 34-year-old woman was informed on Monday that neither her husband (33) had turned up at work nor that their children were at nursery. She immediately drove home.
Woman came home to a burning apartment
When she arrived home, the apartment was filled with smoke - she called the emergency services. The Vienna Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire, but no people were found in the apartment.
