Serial burglars caused more damage than loot!

The burglars did not value fine motor skills - and practiced brute force.

This burglar duo traveled to Carinthia especially for their 84 robberies. One of them is now in custody. He claims to have learned everything from this one, but does not want to betray his fugitive accomplice.

The quick-witted actions of a victim from Klagenfurt were the undoing of at least one of the burglars: the owner of a coffee shop had observed the perpetrators on his cell phone via a surveillance camera and alerted the police. One suspect was caught by the police, but his accomplice managed to escape.

"Thanks to meticulous forensics, extensive video analysis of crime scenes and persistent investigations, it quickly became clear to us that this was not the first coup by these suspects," says Hermann Jahn, head of burglary at the Klagenfurt municipal police command, to "Krone". In the end, the detectives were able to link the 26-year-old Moldovan and his accomplices (as reported) to 84 burglaries.

They struck 64 times in Klagenfurt alone
The duo specialized in companies: In Klagenfurt alone, the perpetrators struck 61 times in the East and Südring commercial zones. The criminals, who had traveled to Carinthia especially for this purpose, carried out seven robberies each at companies in Grafenstein and in the Niederdorf/Ebenthal industrial zone. Six burglaries were committed in the business park in St. Veit an der Glan.

Their tracks were also found in three residential burglaries in Klagenfurt. With their brutal burglary methods, the duo caused a total loss of 400,000 euros. "The suspect didn't want to tell us anything about his accomplice, from whom he claims to have learned everything," said the chief inspector.
