The Spanish royal family was supposed to be discussing the state visit of the President of Paraguay at the end of the week. But when King Felipe and Queen Letizia appeared before the press in Madrid, everyone suddenly only had eyes for the 51-year-old. She had dared to make a great change to her style!

During the state visit of Paraguay's President Santiago Peña and his wife, Queen Letizia showed off her new haircut for the first time. The long mane has given way to a casual long bob, and her hair also looks darker than before.

Fresh from the hairdresser
Just the day before, the Spanish queen appeared at the memorial service for the late Constantine of Greece with voluminous curls that fell well past her shoulders. So it looks like Letizia came to the appointment in Madrid fresh from the hairdresser.

The new, shoulder-length hairstyle certainly looks great on the 51-year-old. But it is by no means the most radical cut Letizia has ever dared to make. Back in 2015, the Queen opted for a cheeky, chin-length bob.

J.Lo and Aniston also made short work of it
Incidentally, Letizia is in good celebrity company with her new, shorter hairstyle. Stars such as Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lopez also recently dared to make a radical change and shed their extra-long manes.
