Divorce spat: “Ex” sells world champion jersey
World champion Exequiel Palacios is currently in the middle of a divorce dispute. His ex-wife is accusing the Argentinian of not wanting to sign the divorce papers and not adhering to financial agreements. Now she has probably sold the jersey that the Bayer player wore in the World Cup final.
Yésica Frias wants to take revenge on her ex-husband by selling the jersey: "I want him to sign my divorce papers. I'm only asking him for what's mine, not even the marital assets he has in Germany," says the influencer.
The main issue is financial support for an apartment bought in installments near Buenos Aires. In a TV program, the 30-year-old already threatened to sell more of Palacios' memorabilia: "I will sell everything that is necessary".
"One bill less"
The jersey with the number 14, which the midfielder wore at the World Cup in Qatar, was auctioned off. It is signed with the personal dedication "For the only love of my life". Frias was pleased and added on Instagram: "One less bill".
Meanwhile, things are going according to plan for Palacios in sporting terms. After winning the World Cup, he now seems to be on the hunt for titles with his club. The Argentinian is set to make his comeback from a thigh injury with Bayer Leverkusen against Cologne on Sunday. With the Werkself, he is on the verge of winning his first German championship.
