Men’s slalom in Aspen from 5 p.m. LIVE
It's not that far yet, but it might be soon: Manuel Feller missed out on winning the slalom crystal early on Sunday in Aspen, but still has the best chance of doing so!
The Tyrolean finished in fifth place ahead of Germany's Linus Straßer (+0.89 sec.) in Switzerland's Loic Meillard's victory. Johannes Strolz finished fourth (+1.28) behind Norway's Henrik Kristoffersen (+1.17), by far the best result of the season. The Tyrolean Feller has a 169-point lead over Straßer with two races to go.
"You have to take your hat off to Linus!"
The start of the slalom was postponed by an hour due to more than half a meter of fresh snow. The organizers managed to clear the course. The slalom took place in fair conditions, Feller opened with number 1, didn't get on well and changed the set-up after ninth place in the middle, making up a few places.
"It would have been nice to tick that off today. You have to take your hat off to Linus, he doesn't let up. It's easier as a hunter, but hats off to his performance. Now it's back to standing at the start with a bad feeling. But you can be satisfied with a top 5 result," said Feller in the ORF TV interview.

"I'm not making it that easy for him. That it's still mathematically possible on paper. It's not decided yet, he can't miss out completely," said Straßer.
Seven of the eight Austrians made it into the final. Fabio Gstrein finished in 10th place, Dominik Raschner in 18th, Joshua Sturm in 21st, Kilian Pramstaller in 22nd and Michael Matt in 26th.
For 21-year-old Pramstaller, it was his first points in his seventh World Cup race, having qualified for the second run with number 54. "The first run was a brutal battle, in the second it was a relief to ski down there with the number," said the man from Lienz. Adrian Pertl was eliminated in the first run.
