A short film starring Brad Pitt and Penélope Cruz has opened the Chanel fashion label's show at Paris Fashion Week. In the short film inspired by Claude Lelouch's 1966 film classic "A Man and a Woman", actors Pitt and Cruz flirt violently with each other.

At a dinner party, Penélope Cruz even ends up asking the waitress for a room. Twitter is already buzzing about the tingling chemistry between the two.

Of course, both are taken. Brad Pitt has just moved in with his girlfriend Ines de Ramon, while Cruz has been married to fellow Spanish actor Javier Bardem since 2010.

Famous beach promenade
According to dpa, a place that has always been associated with Gabrielle Chanel - known as Coco Chanel (1883-1971) - served as the backdrop for the film and the fashion show: Deauville.

The famous beach promenade of the coastal town in Normandy was projected onto a giant screen in front of which the models presented the collection.

French singer and actress Vanessa Paradis and actress Margaret Qualley attended the show.

Penélope Cruz was also there-she came to the show in a short leather costume and a yellow and white lace sweater.

The new fall/winter collection was once again designed by creative director Virginie Viard.

The appearance of model Gigi Hadid caused a particular stir.
