Christy Turlington (55) is a big seller
She graced the covers of the biggest fashion magazines back in the mid-80s. Now Christy Turlington is proving that she still has what it takes to be on the cover almost four decades later. The 55-year-old had herself photographed for "Perfect" magazine.
In the picture, she is wearing a see-through black lace blouse with her matching black bra and panties shimmering through. The supermodel has styled her hair back in the black and white snapshot and is wearing a chunky necklace.

Cover sold out
Turlington celebrated a reunion with photographer David Bailey "after so many years".
She described on Instagram how she met him for the first time as a 17-year-old on a shoot for Vogue in 1986: "He looked over his glasses when I came in and grumbled: 'And who are you? I thought, 'This is going to be a very long few days'."
But luckily for Christy, she was wrong: "To my great relief, we were already friends by the end of the first day. And we worked together a lot more over the next few years. He's still one of the best, most direct and serious photographers I've ever shot with."
The extent to which Turlington's name and ageless face still resonate today is demonstrated by the sales record of "Perfect". The glossy magazine with her cover is already sold out online despite a price of 65 dollars.
Breakthrough and supermodel status
Christy Turlington was discovered by photographer Dennie Cody while taking part in a horse show at the age of 13. In 1986, she signed her first contract with a modeling agency in San Francisco and began her career as a model.
In 1989, Turlington made her breakthrough as a supermodel when she signed a contract with fashion designer Calvin Klein. She became the face of the Eternity campaign and shaped the era of 90s supermodels with her iconic look.
Turlington has graced the covers of countless fashion magazines, including "Vogue", "Harper's Bazaar" and "Elle". She has walked for the most renowned designers such as Chanel, Christian Dior and Versace and has appeared in campaigns for brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Maybelline and Revlon.
Turlington has been married to actor and director Edward Burns since 2003. The couple have two children, Grace and Finn.
