Hinterseer met his postman-composer

Dieter Klingler's main job is actually as a letter carrier. But it was with his second passion, music, that he delivered a real hit to pop star Hansi Hinterseer. Now the professional and amateur musician finally met in Kitzbühel...

When he penned the song "I sitz auf an Stoa" in 2018, Dieter Klingler was not yet fully aware of the extent of his hobby musician talents. Because five years later, in the fall of 2023, none other than Hansi Hinterseer would release a version of Klingler's song and make it a hit. A circumstance that the Alpbach native never dreamed of, but always had in the back of his mind "Because no one else can convey the 'Stoa' more authentically than Hansi."

Klingler has now been able to experience for himself just how authentic "Hansi" really is. The pop giant met his hit lifer at Café Ecking in Kitzbühel. The musician letter carrier does not share the widespread opinion that it is better not to get to know his idols - to avoid any disappointment. "Hansi is a really fine person, down to earth," he revealed to the Krone afterwards. "It was very friendly and we sat together for a long time, talking about music and about God and the world," Klingler enthuses.

Will there be more joint projects? "I can't reveal much yet, except that I presented him with a line of text that he liked." It remains to be seen whether this will result in the next joint hit. The amateur musician has certainly put a flea in the pop star's ear...
