Big sports stage
Tirol becomes the host at the Olympics in Paris
Tirol wants to use the world's largest sports stage at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. There will be an "Austria Tirol Haus" with culinary delights and hospitality from the Alpine region. But that is not the only Olympic goal.
The cooperation between Tirol, Österreich Werbung and the ÖOC is reportedly about to be signed. Tyrol is to take care of the indoor and outdoor catering and spoil guests with local products. "Negotiations are currently underway to clarify the final important details," says the Lebensraum Tirol Group, which is coordinating the project.
We are very keen to build on the successful appearances in London and Sochi.

"Show Tyrol in the best light"
Tirol Werbung has already gained experience with appearances like this at the Games in London and Sochi. This time, the Lebensraum Tirol Group is working with Tirol Werbung, Agrarmarketing and the Standortagentur to develop a concept to showcase Tirol not only as a vacation destination, but also as a business location.
Josef Margreiter, Chairman of the Lebensraum Tirol Group, speaks of a great opportunity in an initial statement: "We are very interested in building on the successful appearances in London and Sochi and putting Tirol with all its facets on this much-noticed stage."
This cooperation will not only benefit tourism, but the Tyrolean economy as a whole.

After Paris, also at the start in Milan-Cortina
It is not yet clear how much this appearance will cost Tyrol. However, the expenditure is apparently expected to be lower than at the 2012 Games in London. Back then, more than one million euros were invested.
What Tirol will gain from the appearance should already be clear in one respect: The "Austria Tirol Haus" will subsequently also compete at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina.
State Councillor for Tourism and Economic Affairs Mario Gerber (ÖVP) sees great added value in the cooperation, not only for tourism but for the entire Tyrolean economy.
