"Oppenheimer" star
Oscar contender Emily Blunt secretly in Austria
More stars than ever before have been to Austria in a row. After Liz Hurley, Nicole Kidman, Natalie Portman and Guy Ritchie, "Jack Ryan" hero John Krasinski was also a guest in Vienna. What nobody knew, but the "Krone" found out, was that he spent his filming-free time with his wife Emily Blunt. And with a bit of luck, she will win an Oscar on Sunday.
It must have been quite an exciting few hours for actress Emily Blunt. The wife of John Krasinski (he was filming the action movie "Fountain of Youth" with Natalie Portman, directed by Guy Ritchie, in Vienna until recently) was secretly in town. Together with her children and entourage, she stayed at the posh Hotel Sacher, from where she started her city tours.
Between Vienna and Los Angeles
Among other things, the entire entourage set off to explore the entire city center in a horse-drawn carriage. Although Blunt was not particularly close to the public, this is understandable, as she was here purely in private and only to support her husband.
On course for an Oscar thanks to "Oppenheimer" role
It will be exactly the opposite on Sunday. The 41-year-old British actress is considered the hottest contender for an Oscar in the "Best Supporting Actress" category for her role as "Kitty Oppenheimer" in Christopher Nolan's blockbuster "Oppenheimer". It was precisely for this reason that the whole family said goodbye relatively quickly and without much fuss on Wednesday afternoon. Just like their entire visit to Austria . . .
They flew home on a private jet, only to be beaming with the other stars at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles in just a few hours.
