Sad confession:
Kate Winslet secretly suffered from an eating disorder
Actress Kate Winslet has spoken for the first time about a very painful chapter in her life. The "Titanic" actress, who is currently causing a sensation with the series "The Regime" filmed in Schönbrunn, has revealed that she used to have a difficult relationship with her body, which meant she could no longer eat normally.
She has remained silent on this painful subject to this day. In an interview with the New York Times Magazine, the 48-year-old revealed: "I never told anyone about it. Because imagine the people in the world around you saying: 'Hey, you look great! You've lost weight!' So even the compliment of looking good is linked to weight."
Today, the actress no longer allows such comments. "If they do, I tell them off straight away," she explains.
"Sounds terrible"
In the interview, Kate was also asked about the increasing use of the weight-loss drug Ozempic. "I don't actually know what Ozempic is. I just know it's some pill that people take or something," she confessed.
When she was told that the drug curbs appetite and "dampens" interest in food, the Oscar winner was "horrified" and said: "Oh, my God. That sounds terrible. Let's eat some more!"
