Fire: Mother and son (3) rescued from balcony
Shock for a family of five on Thursday night in Kematen in Tyrol: a fire suddenly broke out in the living room of the detached house. While the father fought the fire and two daughters ran outside, the mother and son (3) rescued themselves on the balcony. The fire department had to rescue them.
According to the police, the fire broke out in the living room of the detached house in Kematen at around 3 a.m. "The 33-year-old Serbian resident noticed the fire and immediately put it out with a powder extinguisher.He then woke his family," reported the police.
All five residents were taken to Innsbruck Hospital with suspected smoke inhalation.

Rescued by a breathing apparatus team
The two daughters, aged 8 and 10, were able to leave the house. The Serbian man's wife and three-year-old son were apparently unable to do so. According to the fire department, they were on the balcony on the second floor. They were then rescued by the breathing apparatus team and brought to safety.
Family rescued and taken to hospital
The emergency services then carried out additional extinguishing work. "All five residents were taken to Innsbruck Hospital with suspected smoke inhalation," the investigators continued.
The cause of the fire is still unclear. The police have started an investigation.
