Strong blow against drug trafficking in Villach

Handcuffs clicked for three dealers!

In recent months, the narcotics investigators from the Villach-Land district police command and the Carinthia State Criminal Police Office have been busy! The handcuffs clicked for two 20-year-olds and a 32-year-old who were dealing on a large scale independently of each other.

Back in October 2023, officers caught two young men (both 20) who are said to have sold around 37 kilos of cannabis and 1 kilo of cocaine worth up to 200,000 euros (!). "So far, a large number of buyers have also been identified," the police announced on Friday. Since then, the dealers have been in Klagenfurt prison.

Dealing independently of each other
The investigators suspected that the boys were also connected to a 32-year-old woman from Villach, who was also suspected of selling drugs on a large scale. "However, this could not be proven." Nevertheless, the police struck at the end of February: the woman is believed to have brought large quantities of heroin, cocaine and herbal cannabis to Carinthia and subsequently sold them for a profit.

The officers found what they were looking for in the apartment: Drugs, drug paraphernalia and cash were seized. The alleged dealer was arrested: "The accused was found to have imported, sold and distributed at least five kilos of heroin throughout the country since autumn 2022. The value of the narcotics is likely to have been at least 100,000 euros."
