"Twelve years is enough"
FPÖ leader in favor of lowering the age of criminal responsibility
Chancellor Karl Nehammer's (ÖVP) proposal to lower the age of criminal responsibility has met with approval from the FPÖ. In an interview with krone.tv, party leader Herbert Kickl spoke out in favor of lowering the age of criminal responsibility to twelve years. If someone "can rape and torture people, then they should experience first-hand what punitive measures mean", said Kickl.
In some countries, the limit is even ten years, "but twelve years should be enough", said the FPÖ leader. He thinks nothing of the "cuddly justice of 1968" and the "dreams of a prison-free society". This "lack of orientation and values on the left" had done society a disservice. It was high time for a change of course.
Kickl wants a "radical reorganization"
The Austrian population is being overwhelmed by an "avalanche of migration" and those in power are playing it down "under the guise of tolerance". Kickl sees a "lack of orientation" among the Austrian population and immigrants. A "radical reorganization" and "order must be established", society, politics and the state must communicate this clearly.
