Event at Oberbank
Time for strong voices and more visibility
From Monika Ballwein to Die Mayerin and the Schick Sisters: at the end of the concert at the event organized by Oberbank and "OÖ-Krone" to mark International Women's Day, no one was able to keep their seats at the Donau-Forum in Linz. Beforehand, the focus was on networking at an exclusive get-together.
Oberbank and "OÖ-Krone" promised Austropop at its best when inviting guests to the event on the occasion of International Women's Day - and brought a combination of extraordinary female voices to the stage with FRAUstria3.
From "Bergwerk" to "Live is Life"
Monika Ballwein performed with the Schick Sisters Katharina, Christine and Veronika and Ulrike Maria Mayer alias Die Mayerin, who performed their own songs, Austropop hits such as "Bergwerk", "Großvater", "Live is Life" and international pop music classics - to the taste of the guests at the Donau-Forum.
Sausage stand never without Austropop
"I'm a total Austropop fan," said Lisa Sigl. The hotel operator, restaurateur and deputy chairwoman of Frau in der Wirtschaft revealed: "Whenever we are represented with our sausage stand, Austropop is always playing."
"There's simply something for every mood," added Deputy Governor Christine Haberlander, who was just as unable to stay in her seat at the concert finale as everyone else.
Oberbank CEO Franz Gasselsberger, "OÖ-Krone" editor-in-chief Alexandra Halouska, presenter Silvia Schneider, Oberbank Management Board members Isabella Lehner, Florian Hagenauer and Martin Seiter as well as Anna Kapsamer-Fellner (Joka) gave standing ovations.
Comfortable lounge furniture, time for exchange and networking and exciting input from Oberbank Management Board member Isabella Lehner and "OÖ-Krone" editor-in-chief Alexandra Halouska - these were the ingredients of the "Get together - Women in Management".
Challenges, successes and clichés
From the construction to the furniture industry, from science to the software world: female managers and entrepreneurs from a wide range of sectors talked about challenges, successes and clichés.
"Women often deliberately make themselves invisible," said Lehner, noting that female perfectionism also becomes an obstacle. Conclusion: more visibility and courage are needed, sometimes also the courage to leave gaps.
