The Burgenland craftsmen's bonus is making a comeback. The last time it was available was during the coronavirus crisis. With this special funding campaign, the state aims to boost the construction industry and at the same time provide relief for households.

The funding budget comprises around five million euros. Funding is available for the renovation of roofs and façades, the replacement of windows and floor coverings, plumbing work and lightning protection, as well as thermal renovations and blackout prevention measures.

Thousands of jobs to be secured
"Especially in times of the interest rate and inflation crisis, we want to ease the financial burden on Burgenland residents with increased funding incentives and boost private investment in construction and renovation measures," explains Provincial Councillor Heinrich Dorner. This should also secure thousands of jobs. "The construction industry is currently doing very badly," emphasized Chamber of Commerce President Andreas Wirth. "We are lacking orders." It is hoped that the craftsmen's bonus will provide an additional boost and new impetus for the main and ancillary construction trades at a time when the economy is weak.
