Pharmacy dispute: Prosecution against mayor
A bombshell in the pharmacy dispute in Scheifling (Murau district), which has kept the courts and the public prosecutor's office busy for several years: ÖVP mayor Gottfried Reif is charged with abuse of office!
The bone of contention is the planned construction of a pharmacy in the Scheifling business park, whose operators want to produce their own medicines. The Provincial Administrative Court and the Administrative Court have long since given their sanction. Tenor: medicines may be sold at this location.
Only the head of the village is fighting this tooth and nail! As the representative of the local building authority, he has been putting his foot down for years and ignoring all decisions.
As the Leoben public prosecutor's office confirmed at the request of the "Steirerkrone", the head of the village of Scheifling is accused of abuse of office. However, he has lodged an objection to this, which is why the case is now going to the Higher Regional Court of Graz. If the court rules against Reif, the charges will be legally binding and the date of the main hearing has already been set.
