We're not talking about Christian Horner, who is currently trembling with his Geri over a planned statement from the (dismissed) employee who is said to have spammed Horner with juicy text messages and who now wants to appeal against the complaint rejected by the company following an internal investigation. No. It's about Chalerm Yoovidhya!
Crisis summit in Jeddah
The day after the race in Jeddah, a summit was held between the Thai majority owner of Red Bull (51%) and the CEOs of the Austrian side of the group, Oliver Mintzlaff and Franz Watzlawick, and it briefly seemed as if Yoovidhya had turned his back on Horner. Mintzlaff and Watzlawick must have discussed the explosive situation on the US market with him, where calls for a boycott of Red Bull have been increasing since the Horner affair came to light. And immediately it was said that Horner was about to be dismissed! Shortly afterwards, however, another denial followed. This once again leaves open questions, such as: Does Thailand want to win the power struggle by any means necessary? Better Horner than the hard dollar?
The speculation is already mutating into cabaret: the cult band U2 is said to be working on a song with the title "Don't be horny, be Christian". Background: The brother of the (ex-)Red Bull employee is the son-in-law of guitarist "The Edge".
Facts must be put on the table, because the dents on the can are getting bigger and bigger - it's about Didi Mateschitz's life's work!
