The tour de force is done! All ballots of the 57th "Krone" footballer election have been counted-you can find out the winner and all the winners on March 22 from 8:15 pm to 10:15 pm on krone.tv at the big digital "Krone" soccer festival. On March 23, we will then report on the footballer of the year, the tipp3 coach of the year, the female footballer of the year and the lottery young star on six pages in your "Krone".

Of course, the show hosted by Michael Fally will once again feature a special soccer supporter. After all, the "Krone" footballer poll depends on the fans - and has done for decades.

Gerhard Tuczai, for example, has been collecting ballots for his favorite players since 1975. This year, the former goalkeeper, who had Friedl Koncilia and Dino Zoff as idols, did a four-hour round almost every day to collect coupons. Together with his friends Werner, Wolfgang and Rene, the Burgenland native, who lives in Vienna (all four have a season ticket in the east stand of the Generali Arena), gave his all for Matthias Braunöder of Austria Vienna, just like last year. At their final meeting in the Günser Stüberl in Oberpullendorf, they had exactly 4790 ballots on their balance sheets.

LASK superfan Ludwig Hehenberger from Wallern even collected 6300 coupons for Sascha Horvath and coach Thomas Sageder. Of course, he had many hard-working helpers, but he stamped all the ballot papers himself.

Head of the "five kiosk"
Ludwig had this to say about Horvath: "The fan clubs were unanimous. Sascha is our most deserving player. I like his commitment, his agility and his intelligent play." When the "Krone" reached him yesterday, Hehenberger was in the Raiffeisen Arena washing up drinking cups. The former area sales manager of a large drinks manufacturer is now the manager of the "Fünfer Kiosk" in the stadium.

A letter from a fan of Wolfsburg legionnaire Patrick Wimmer made us smile. He wrote to us: "You can of course check the ballot papers or trust a retired official."
