After accident: children fear for the life of “Puma”
The beloved tomcat from the Tullnerfeld Riding and Therapy Center was admitted to a veterinary clinic in Lower Austria with serious internal injuries. There he is fighting for survival. The small, non-profit organization could not afford the high treatment costs.
Stephanie Distl realized a lifelong dream in 2009: together with her husband, she lovingly adapted an overgrown plot of land in Wagendorf near Sieghartskirchen (Lower Austria) for a good cause.
The result is a multidisciplinary riding and therapy center that offers educational play units for children and young people, individual support units for people with disabilities and riding lessons. Around 160 children and young people come to the Lower Austrian riding center every week.
Giving their best day after day
"Our clients are mostly children between the ages of three and twelve. They carry heavy burdens with them: traumatic experiences, sometimes severe multiple impairments or social problems. We and our therapy animals do our best to support them every day," says chairwoman and riding therapist Distl, describing her day-to-day work.
The non-profit Reittreff Tullnerfeld association is home to twelve active training and therapy horses. Numerous pets and farm animals also live on the large premises. Among them is the black cuddly cat "Puma". He also receives a lot of love and attention from young patients during their therapy sessions.
"Krone" animal corner helps with donations
Unfortunately, "Puma" was recently found seriously injured - he must have dragged himself back to the farm after an accident. Since then, the brave cat has been fighting for survival in a veterinary clinic in Lower Austria.
Due to the enormously high treatment costs, Stephanie Distl desperately asked the "Krone" animal corner for help. Head of department Maggie Entenfellner: "It is a matter close to our hearts to support the important therapy work of the association - Puma the cat is also an important support for the young patients. Our animal corner will help with 2000 euros!"
Grateful for every cent
"Puma" is unfortunately still hospitalized. The family and all the children miss the lovely cuddly cat very much and fear for his life every day! He still has another necessary operation ahead of him. The association is dependent on financial support. If you can also help to save "Puma's" life - the family from Reittreff Tullnerfeld is grateful for every cent!
