Child was an accomplice in triple “car theft”

Mom and dad probably just wanted to make their son happy - but showed him how not to do it: they stole several toy cars and made their toddler an accomplice. Now it's going to be expensive!

The Romanian couple, who were out shopping with a little boy in a cart, were spotted in a grocery store in Linz, where they were all too conspicuous with their toys. The 28-year-old mother took a toy car out of the packaging and gave it to the child.

The packaging was returned to the shelf. Because it had worked so well, the mother played the game a second time and finally the father (29) also took a car out of the packaging and gave it to his child.

Behind the checkout - the family had "forgotten" to pay for the cars - mom and dad were intercepted. They admitted that they had taken the cars, which cost just a few euros, for their son. Now they have to pay a fine in addition to the shoplifting processing fee.
