Klum husband Tom Kaulitz causes a stir with post

Netflix has filmed a reality series about the Kaulitz brothers. But when it was announced on Wednesday evening, musician and podcaster Tom Kaulitz caused a stir with something else.

The husband of model Heidi Klum has been on Instagram for almost ten years and has now posted something for the first time that his one million followers could see to announce the Netflix series.

And they were completely stunned to see that the 34-year-old had actually made his first post on his official account. 

"What the hell?"
"Can we please talk about Tom posting?" wrote one fan of the star. Another slipped in a "WTH?" ("What the hell?") slipped out. Another wrote: "Tom posting on Instagram was the big surprise, not the documentary." And it has to be said, there has probably never been so much excitement about such an unspectacular post.

The star had simply posted the familiar red Netflix logo on a black background.

"Not even a profile picture"
 "You don't even have a profile picture," said his twin brother Bill with amusement at a presentation of the series in Berlin.

Tom's verified account dates back to April 2014. Singer Bill has been on the show for just as long and has more than 2,700 posts.

Tom's message was very successful: it received more than 100,000 likes and a good 7,000 comments in the first twelve hours. Tom has one million followers on Instagram, Bill has 1.5 million.

"Insight into private life"
The "Kaulitz & Kaulitz" format will be available on Netflix from June 25. "For the first time, Bill and Tom Kaulitz open the doors to their home and provide an exclusive glimpse into their private lives," Netflix announced. Clips show very private moments. "We're like one person," Tom said there. "And he has one side and I have the other."

Bill and Tom Kaulitz grew up near Magdeburg and founded the band Tokio Hotel with Gustav Schäfer and Georg Listing as teenagers. The twins have been living in Los Angeles for some time, where parts of "Kaulitz & Kaulitz" are also set.
