Balts against Russians and Belarusians at the Olympics!
The National Olympic Committees of the Baltic states have spoken out strongly against the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Even neutral athletes should not be allowed to do so.
"Together we once again express our rejection and disapproval of the decision of the Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee to allow individual neutral athletes with Russian and Belarusian passports to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris," wrote the presidents of the Olympic Committees of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in a letter to the IOC.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) wants to allow athletes from Russia and Belarus to take part in the Olympics this summer as neutral athletes under certain conditions. The athletes must not have any links to the Russian military or actively support the war against Ukraine.
"We are firmly convinced that under no circumstances can they take part in the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris," wrote Presidents Urmas Soorumaa (Estonia), Janis Buks (Latvia) and Daina Gudzineviciute (Lithuania) in their letter addressed to IOC President Thomas Bach.
