Leaving the scene of an accident
Truck gets stuck deep in the ground on the A10
On Thursday evening, a truck left the road at the highway junction in the direction of Villa and got stuck in the ground. The driver initially left the scene of the accident for unknown reasons.
At around 10.30 p.m. on Thursday, a truck accident occurred at the Salzburg interchange in the direction of Villach, in which a Bosnian articulated truck left the roadway for unknown reasons and got stuck in the ground.
The driver, a 43-year-old Bosnian national, initially left the scene of the accident and could only be called back to the vehicle after some time. Fortunately, the driver was not injured in the accident and a breathalyzer test was negative. An extensive heavy goods vehicle check revealed no violations of driving and rest periods.
The articulated truck did not leak any oil or other fluids that could affect the environment as a result of the accident. The recovery of the articulated truck required heavy equipment, and the vehicle also had to be freed from dirt and earth and cleaned by the Wals/Siezenheim fire department. A report was made to the relevant authorities.
