Aich attacker looks like Ibrahimovic’s brother

Is that Zlatan Ibrahimovic? Many Bleiburg players are asking themselves this season! Because Aich's volleyball ace Kristof Horvath looks just like the former soccer superstar. "I'm often asked about it," grins the Hungarian, who wants to lead Aich into the final of the MEVZA Final Four at home today.

Long hair, a plait, beard, a distinctive nose and a giant to boot. Aich attacker Kristof Horvath looks just like ex-football star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and not just at first glance. The 24-year-old would easily win any lookalike contest. "I'm often asked about it," laughs the volleyball player. "I let my hair grow once, it suits me. There's an Italian restaurant nearby with Milan fans - we always have a lot of fun there."

Especially as there are similarities between the athletes:

• They are almost exactly the same height, both are giants. While Ibrahimovic was 1.95 meters tall, Horvath is one centimeter taller.

• "Ibra" was captain of Sweden's national soccer team for many years. Horvath also leads the Hungarian volleyball team as "captain".

• Both have tattoos! Zlatan's entire body resembles a work of art, while the Hungarian is more modest: "I have the names of my siblings tattooed on me, as well as a symbol that stands for balance."

"I'm more the quiet type"
The two athletes are only completely different in terms of type. While Ibrahimovic was a flamboyant egocentric who got into fights with everyone, Horvath is a nice guy. "I keep my feet on the ground, I'm more the quiet type. But I can also step on the gas on the pitch."

Putting the young team under pressure
He wants to show that at the MEVZA Final Four in Bleiburg. With Marburg, a big caliber awaits this Saturday in the semifinals (19): "We have to put their young players under pressure." The other semi-final will be contested by defending champions Ljubljana and Myjava from Slovakia at 4 p.m. in Bleiburg. The big and small finals will then take place on Sunday.
