"There's nothing like a celebrity who hates spreading rumors about themselves." For once, Kim Kardashian wanted to share her sense of humor with the world - only that many didn't find it funny. 

The reality show queen took aim at Princess Kate, of all people, who had stopped making public appearances following her lower abdominal surgery. The result was a royal shitstorm.

Kim posted a series of photos of herself on her Instagram and wrote: "On my way to find Kate". She was viciously attacked by some of her 364 million followers in the comments section.

Family members are also hiding
One raged: "Coming from a family where members regularly go into hiding (rightly) ... whether it's because of pregnancy or other medical reasons."

The latter was a reference to the dozens of plastic surgeries the Kardashian-Jenner clan sisters are said to have had over the years.

"Tasteless"
Another woman called Kardashian a hypocrite: "Didn't we just celebrate International Women's Day? And now you made fun of a woman who is recovering from a serious operation!"

The majority simply found the line "tasteless" and "rude" and one royal fan attacked the 43-year-old with: "A smear queen made famous by a sex tape is tarnishing the name of our beautiful Princess Kate just by saying it!"
