“Wind turbines have no place here in Tyrol”

Where would it be possible to erect the first wind turbine in Tyrol? The "Krone" reported on this topic on Monday after the State Environmental Ombudsman's Office had drawn up a position paper on the subject. The FPÖ is clearly against wind turbines.

"This energy generation method has no place in Tyrol, as the impact on nature and the landscape is enormous and damages the tourism location," party leader Markus Abwerzger is convinced. He points to the eastern federal states, where you can see "how much the landscape suffers". The Blue Party member sees "black, home-destroying cheap actionism" and calls for faster and less bureaucratic procedures for hydropower instead.

"Expansion has been at a standstill for years, the green environmental lobbies torpedo every project and the approval procedures take forever."

Another urgent motion on the topic
In the upcoming state parliament, the FPÖ will once again table an urgent motion calling for the 100,000 euro bonus for the first wind turbine to be suspended and for a study to be carried out on the long-term effects of wind turbines. The Blue Party hopes that the study will show that wind turbines do not make sense in Tyrol.
