Bernhard Kletzl has found a new club. From now on, the Salzburg coach will be coaching in the Regionalliga Mitte. He will lead the first training session on Tuesday and must get Vöcklamarkt out of the bottom places in the upcoming games. The 39-year-old is already fired up for the new task.

Bernhard Kletzl imagined the end at Wals-Grünau last summer to be different. But that is now history. The 39-year-old has found a new job: From now on, he will coach the Upper Austrian regional league club Vöcklamarkt, where Salzburg's former professional Marco Meilinger, among others, is under contract.

Club in danger of relegation
"We met on Sunday and it was a very good conversation," said Kletzl in an interview with the "Krone". His involvement in the Regionalliga Mitte wouldn't have actually started until the summer, but Vöcklamarkt needed a new impetus immediately after four defeats in a row and a 13th place finish in danger of relegation and sacked Thomas Laganda. The Salzburg native now wants to provide fresh impetus: "I know what I have planned tactically, but I'm not going to try anything, because we need something simple." He wants to lead the way with a "lads, we can do it" mentality. It's also important to have lots of conversations, instil confidence in the team and do some rebuilding work.

"The fire is back"
Kletzl himself has enjoyed the past few months without working for a club. "With the offer from Vöcklamarkt, I realized that the fire is there and I'm ready and want to do it!" He already knew some of the players and has a very good feeling about the club: "The club is well positioned, they are on fire and have made a huge effort to find me. They were very well informed about me, which also convinced me."
