Beer Party
Beer Party in Salzburg: Is fun now becoming serious?
The Beer Party wants to run in the National Council elections as a reform and protest party. Away from the fun project and towards serious politics. Party members and interested parties met in Salzburg. Only one was missing: the party boss Dominik Wlazny alias "Marco Pogo".
Away with the image of the fun party, and towards the first serious run in the National Council elections: Dominik Wlazny's beer party, alias Marco Pogo, is now apparently serious. At their general meeting in Salzburg, three "beer politicians" wanted to enter into an exchange with the people of Salzburg.
Around 40 members and interested parties came to the Rockhouse for the event. But one was missing: Dominik Wlazny. The party boss and former federal presidential candidate is currently on tour with his band "Turbobier" and doesn't have time. Although he actually had the day off. He is performing in Innsbruck on Wednesday and in Salzburg on Friday, at the Rockhouse
Musician as Salzburg candidate
"We want to get away from the one-man show," says Thomas Schuster, entrepreneur and possible candidate for the party. He presented his and the party's ideas to the Salzburg members. Also present: Eva-Maria Loigge and musician and Salzburg candidate Andreas Jegle.
Will the party really run in the elections in the fall? The Beer Party currently has 8,500 members and needs to grow to 20,000. Otherwise it would be unlikely to run in the national elections, especially financially, said Wlazny in January when announcing his candidacy.
