"Thai Front":
Alex Albon now appears in the “bull cosmos”
Ahead of the Australian Grand Prix, the sporting action continues to live in the shadows: Everything revolves around Max and the "Thai Front".
The so-called "silly season" or "pickle season" has kept Formula 1 in the headlines all these years during the race-free period. Transfer rumors, calendar planning and changes to the regulations always provided plenty to talk about. In 2024, however, everything is different - thanks to Christian Horner.
The Red Bull team boss's sex message chat with a female employee, who has since made another submission to the FIA Ethics Commission, has pushed sporting events completely into the background. Even before the Australian Grand Prix, which begins tomorrow in Melbourne with free practice, rumors pulled from the energy can are swirling through the press. For example, Johnny Herbert, who rarely made an appearance during his active career, said in the English tabloid "Sun" that "Max Verstappen's move to Mercedes is very close". Where Herbert, who was coldly dismissed as a pundit by Sky F1 last year, got his information remained unanswered ...
Verstappen "relaxed and happy"
No matter. The fact is that Verstappen, who has a contract with Red Bull Racing until 2028, is driving in the "premier class" because he wants to win races and titles. To do that, even a high-flyer like him needs the best car. And he has that with the RB20. "I'm relaxed and happy in this team - also because the performance is right." All right!
But it is also a fact that - if the Horner file is not disposed of soon and the Thai majority owner Chalerm Yoovidhya, together with Horner, strives for more and more power in the Red Bull cosmos - the current racing team could actually be torn apart and Yoovidhya and his compatriot Alex Albon could then reach for the stars. Will that work without Verstappen, Dr. Helmut Marko and Adrian Newey?
