The coveted Wine Trophy: this is what winners look like!

The hottest battle for the coolest, best wines has been fought: these are the 2024 Weintrophy winners!

A total of 850 wines of the very highest quality were sent into the race by their dedicated producers to take the coveted Weintrophy award home to the vineyards. After the most rigorous examination, the finalists remained - and once again their grape juice was tested down to the last detail and examined by 26 sommeliers (two thirds of whom were former graduates of the Bad Gleichenberg tourism schools) on the basis of strict criteria.

The Repolusk winery in Leutschach stands for top quality. The fact that they were able to win the trophy with their Pinot Blanc underlines this once again.

Tschermonegg Sauvignon blanc Gamlitz - this name stands for pure wine enjoyment. But how could the very best wines not be produced in this dreamlike Leutschach setting?

We see Mathias Weber from St. Stefan here - and the whole family is behind the Schilcher Klassik in Weststeier. This is how you bring the trophy into your home!

The Silberberg winery simply stands for class, quality, innovation and first-class local performance. The Riesling from the hands of the experts unreservedly convinced the jury in a blind tasting.

A critical look from the expert - but it's not necessary: because the beautiful Kodolitsch winery from Leibnitz won over the expert jury with its Sauvignon Blanc Riedenwein!

But now they have been recognized and can proudly display the coveted award label on their bottles - what a tremendous marketing advantage! The Trophy has long been a recognized seal of quality for wine connoisseurs, and the entire wine industry pays attention to this ranking, the first of its kind in 2024, which shows the top wine elite in our province at a glance.

Petra and Rudolf Schuster are behind the Gelber Traminer from Klöch, which connoisseurs can't get enough of. Demand is likely to be even greater now.

Where it says Pauritsch on it, it contains the very best Zweigelt Shiraz according to the jury! And the bottles from Wernersdorf near Wies can now adorn themselves with the coveted trophies.

The Welschriesling Südsteiermark DAC made the panel of experts click their tongues - so this year's Wine Trophy in this category clearly went to Leutschachzu Albrecher

You can find out who the winners are and who can be happy on these two pages. Among them are some familiar faces - but also some who are boldly breaking new ground with their vines. They were honored at a glittering gala on Thursday in the halls of the Bad Gleichenberg tourism schools.

The Dietl winery from Riegersburg presses really good grape juice into its glasses - with the Vino Vincent Muscaris, the bosses beat off the strong competition.

Sauvignon blanc Weststeiermark DAC - the Schilcherei Jöbstl winery from Wies was able to shake off all trophy opponents from the industry with this grandiose top wine.

If wine connoisseurs come across a fantastic Chardonnay Ried this year, which comes from Tieschen in the beautiful Vulkanland and carries the trophy - it's the one from Platzer!

Sekt Anna Burgunder Brut - the name alone sounds like an ode to the good taste of wine! The association brings the fruits of its labor to St. Anna in the form of the coveted award
