Neo-Hard boss Lindner:
“Handball business is more familiar than at the KAC!”
Former ice hockey crack Heimo Lindner is the new handball boss at Alpla Hard. On Friday evening, his team will host Ferlach in the Cup - at the same time as the KAC in Pustertal.
Change of scenery! Former ice hockey crack Heimo Lindner takes over as managing director of first division handball team Hard on April 2. The man from Köttmannsdorf has been working in the background since the beginning of the year, getting his first insights into the handball business.
We don't have a Ferlach player on our list at the moment.

Blessed with a large budget
"It's more familiar than it used to be at the KAC - we don't yet have a professional coach for every junior team," emphasizes the 45-year-old, who will primarily be taking care of business. "We know that we have one of the biggest budgets, but we're not a Croesus - it's not about huge sums of money," says Lindner. But it is also clear to him: "The championship title is our goal! And we want to win every other trophy."
"We've been warned about Ferlach!"
They won the Supercup at the start of the season - on Friday evening (19), they aim to reach the semi-finals of the cup against Ferlach. "We lost in Carinthia in the league, so we've been warned about them," says Lindner, who still knows Ferlach boss Walter Perkounig from the old HCK days. "I used to love watching handball."
For Ferlach, however, the first semi-final appearance since 2015 is at stake!
