A variety of Easter traditions and excursions are on offer in Carinthia during the Easter holiday week, and there is also a lot on offer for children and young people.
Big Easter festival on Saturday
In St. Kanzian am Klopeiner See, the Easter festival begins today, Saturday, in the forest adventure world with the hiding and searching of 200 eggs. Magic Sabrina will delight the children with a magic show, giant soap bubbles and a hands-on circus. Reading fox Theo and "Krone" reading uncle Christian Krall will be performing (1 pm). From 5 p.m. there will be dancing at the children's disco.
Flying high
"An experience for the whole family" promises Easter on the Pyramidenkogel in Keutschach: with culinary delights, arts and crafts, pony rides and the Easter bunny, who hops around and tells exciting stories to the little ones.
The world in miniature
Minimundus, the small world on Lake Wörthersee, invites you to do handicrafts and painting in the Easter workshop in Klagenfurt on Palm Sunday, to take an Easter walk with Nici and for face painting for children. Punch and Judy also makes an appearance at Easter. Children can also have fun in the indoor hall.
Off to the Easter market
Klagenfurt, Villach and Velden are home to Easter markets. In Millstatt, the Seenixe sets sail. In the Nassfeld ski area, an Easter nest is built in many places between Palm Sunday and Maundy Thursday. The Rosentalbahn promises entertainment in Easter bunny trains.
Beastly good
The Rosegg animal park opens today, Saturday. The Maltatal Donkey Park, which is also home to numerous other animals, is already open. The monkey mountain in Landskron can be visited from March 29. The Happ reptile zoo in Klagenfurt will also be very busy.Christian Tragner
