In her biography "Rebel Rising", which will be published at the beginning of April, Rebel Wilson not only makes serious accusations against actor Sacha Baron Cohen, she also talks openly about very private things - such as her "first time". The actress only lost her virginity at the age of 35.

Rebel Wilson explained in an interview with "People" magazine that there is a good reason why she talks so openly about her personal experiences. She wants to take the pressure off others.

"It's okay to wait until you're ready, or wait until you're a bit more mature," said Wilson. "And I think that could be a positive message. You don't have to wait until you're in your thirties like me, of course, but you shouldn't let yourself be pressured as a young person."

The now 44-year-old, who is happily engaged to designer Ramona Agruma, confessed that she used to avoid questions about sex. "I once told my best friend: 'Oh, yeah, I did it at 23' - just to get it over with. Just to avoid questions."

Off the subject of sex
But she usually just left the room as soon as the topic of sex came up. Because: "People thought 24 was too late. And I sat there and thought: 'Oh my God, I'm 35, I'm going to look like the biggest loser'."

If she had been "born 20 years later", she would probably have "explored my sexuality more", Wilson is also certain. "All I knew back then was that I was attracted to men, that was normal."

It was only when her father died that she began to "open up more and more", Wilson continued - and she also realized "that I thought marriage was a terrible thing and a waste of time".

As a result, she also questioned her sexuality, Wilson explained: "And then, just years later, I met women and had feelings for a woman, and I think that's just a sign of where society was at."

Gushing about daughter Royce
Wilson is now raising daughter Royce with her fiancée, who was carried by a surrogate mother. In an interview, the actress gushed about girls. "I'm overwhelmed by how much she melts my heart," she said.

16-month-old Royce's new favorite word is "mama," Wilson explained. "And that was her first word ever. It just melts your heart." The Australian native added: "I thought I was a strict mom, but apparently I'm the opposite."
