Tyrolean animal corner
We wish for a forever home!
This week, the Tyrolean "Animal Corner" presents many furry friends who are all looking for their forever homes. The animals are looking for a species-appropriate home where they can enjoy lots of love, cuddles and everyday life. They are not suitable as Easter presents, as people should think carefully beforehand about whether they can spare the time for them. An animal is a great responsibility, as it must be able to rely on people.
Good bitch looking for a nice place!
Five-year-old "Melody" has a gentle, extremely friendly character and gets on well with other dogs due to her social nature. She is very trusting and obedient, walks well on the lead and has no problem with car rides. The people-loving dog is around 55 centimetres tall and weighs around 20 kilograms. She is also house-trained, microchipped, vaccinated and sterilized. Who can offer "Melody" a nice home? Appointments for visits to get to know her can be made by calling: 0677/63421575.
"Yoko" is waiting for his family!
The handsome male weighs around 13 kilograms, has a shoulder height of 35 centimetres and is four years old. Due to his lovable and friendly nature, he would make a great family dog. He likes children, but they should not be too small. However, he would also feel right at home with older people as long as he is loved and gets plenty of exercise and cuddles! "Yoko" is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. For more information, please call: 0664/5225561.
Pitbull mix wants patient people.
The young "Milow" was born on August 1, 2022 and is very active and healthy. His previous owner unfortunately had to part with the handsome fellow for personal reasons, and he has been waiting for his luck at the Mentlberg animal shelter in Innsbruck ever since. The male dog is compatible with children aged 10 and over, with a second dog it is a matter of sympathy. It is not known whether he gets on with cats. He behaves in a friendly and interested manner towards other dogs, but has a little difficulty with direct dog contact and is quickly overwhelmed. His new owners should make sure that he has regular encounters with other dogs in order to build up good social behavior. The list dog is gentle and playful and loyal to his favorite human. In his familiar surroundings, this handsome four-legged friend is extremely lovable, loyal and affectionate.
He is neutral, sociable and open-minded towards new people. Unfortunately, "Milow" was not able to gain much experience in his previous life, which is why he is often stressed and overwhelmed in unfamiliar situations. In these moments, his new loved ones should definitely offer him protection and security and introduce him to new things slowly, with plenty of time and patience. The pit bull mix still has a lot to learn, especially when it comes to obedience, basic commands and staying alone. Although "Milow" is sensitive, he is physically very strong. That's why you should not only give him a lot of love and trust in his new home, but also set clear boundaries and rules for a harmonious life together and stick to them. He has also been wormed, vaccinated and microchipped and was recently neutered. He also suffers from a food intolerance, but does not let this restrict him. Who would like to have an adventure with "Milow"? If you are interested, please call 0512/581451 to arrange a non-binding introductory walk.
From the Inn to your own aquaterrarium!
This Chinese striped turtle was washed up on the banks of the Inn some time ago, discovered there by attentive walkers and brought to the Mentlberg animal shelter in Innsbruck. There the male was given the name "Crush". We can only guess what happened to the armored adventurer, but one thing is certain: after this adventurous career, he now wants his own idyllic, solitary place in a species-appropriate environment. A certain basic knowledge of aquaristics and keeping aquatic turtles or possibly this species is an advantage, but the Mauremys Sinesis species is also no problem for committed beginners. Please note that all reptiles in Tyrol must be registered with the authorities! Who would like to take in this reptile and give it a good life? Telephone number: 0512/581451.
Who will give "Burrito" their heart!
The small, fluffy rabbit is still eagerly waiting for his heart's desire. He was heartlessly abandoned in a box in the forest, so unfortunately nothing is known about his age. However, he has now been neutered. The rabbit is very self-confident and likes to call the shots among his own kind. But as soon as he gets to know them better, he is very sociable. This sweet knocker is used to being kept outside all year round and is looking for a home where he can hop from his night shelter into the open independently. Who would like to give this cute little fellow a species-appropriate life? For further information, please call 0664/8495351.
Older lady looking for an oasis of well-being!
The beautiful cat "Kitty" is fourteen years old and is looking for the person of her heart. As she is very people-oriented, she would like an owner who has a lot of time for her to cuddle. She knows dogs and other cats, but also gets along very well on her own. She is neutered, vaccinated and has recently had a vet check. Who can this black beauty go home with? Appointments to get to know her can be arranged by calling: 0699/12349901.
Brothers looking for a home with a heart!
The two shepherd mix brothers "Ares" and "Aron" are around thirteen years old and very friendly to all people. The boys are fit and well behaved. They walk relaxed on the lead and know a few commands. You can have them for any kind of activity and they love to accompany their humans. Companions are no problem for the four-legged friends, they especially love girls, and they have already met cats. The brothers would prefer it if they could stay together. Who will give them a chance? Telephone number: 0512/581451.
The animal welfare association is there for all people who have picked up a foundling, would like to give a sweet little animal a chance or are sorely missing their darling. At the web address: www.tierschutzverein-tirol.at you can view all the animals and make appointments to meet them. You can also find out more about sponsorship and help some of the animals.
