Title fight remains tight
LIVE from 7.30pm: Manchester City v Arsenal
No winner in the top match! The summit clash between Arsenal FC and Manchester City ends 0-0. The Sky Blues were the dominant team for long stretches, but despaired at the Gunners' defensive bulwark. Liverpool FC thus jumped to the top of the table, but the title fight remains tight.
Liverpool moved to the top of the table in the thrilling three-way battle for the English soccer championship on Easter Sunday with a win against Brighton & Hove Albion. Coach Jürgen Klopp's Reds deserved to win 2:1 despite falling behind early on.
There was no winner in the big clash between the two other title contenders: Manchester City and Arsenal drew goalless at the Etihad Stadium. This leaves Arsenal two points behind Liverpool and Man City a further point behind.
Manchester had the upper hand in front of their own fans, which was reflected in their 70 percent possession. City were also ahead in terms of shots on goal, although there were no top-class chances. However, the visitors fought back and deservedly took a point back to London. Arsenal are now unbeaten in nine Premier League games (eight wins). City failed to score at home for the first time this season.
Gabriel Jesus missed a goal
The best chances for the Gunners fell to Gabriel Jesus, who missed two shots on target in the first half and then narrowly missed a good cross from Bukayo Saka. City's best chance came from a Kevin De Bruyne corner that rebounded off Nathan Ake's shoulder - Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya ultimately had the situation under control.
