One took flight
Drunk drivers ended up with their cars on the roof
Two drivers in Tyrol were too drunk before setting off on Friday. In both Fliess (Landeck district) and Grän (Reutte district), the drivers ended up on the roof after an accident. One of the two fled the scene of the accident but was found.
The first accident occurred at around 8 pm. A 38-year-old man was driving his car uphill on a local road in Fließ. "He hit an ascending mountain wall", according to the police. After driving around three meters along the wall, the vehicle crashed and landed on its roof. The driver was lucky and was able to free himself from the car. The vehicle sustained serious material damage. The 38-year-old tested positive for alcohol. He has lost his "license".
At the exit of a long left-hand bend, the driver first drove over the right-hand edge of the road and continued on the verge for around 150 meters.

Finally, he went over the left-hand edge of the road and crashed into a road embankment. "The car overturned sideways and came to rest on its roof in the parking lot of a supermarket."
