There is still no all-clear regarding the storm situation in Tyrol. As the province of Tyrol explains, the second-highest warning level in North Tyrol will remain in place until Monday morning. The Hechtsee road will also remain closed until further notice.
Caution is still required in North Tyrol. According to GeoSphere Austria, the "Orange" warning level is currently in place for the whole of Tyrol with stormy gusts and wind speeds of 60 to 80 km/h. This was renewed by the province of Tyrol on Sunday. In typical foehn valleys, the peaks are even around 100 km/h. Gale-force gusts of more than 120 km/h are expected on the mountains.
In view of the storm gusts forecast until Monday morning, I appeal to the Tyrolean population to continue to take the state's recommendations for action seriously and to follow them.

Astrid Mair, Member of the Provincial Council for Safety, appeals to the Tyrolean population to continue to exercise caution: "The Easter holidays invite people to go on excursions or undertake outdoor activities. However, people should avoid spending time in forests, avenues or parks in view of the strong storms. In view of the storm gusts forecast until Monday morning, I appeal to the Tyrolean population to continue to take the state's recommendations for action seriously and to follow them."
Road remains closed
The closure of Hechtseestraße (L210) will remain in place until further notice. Safety measures will be carried out on Sunday afternoon. Due to the ongoing storm and the forecast rainfall, the road will remain closed to all traffic. The situation will be assessed again on Tuesday.
Emergency services almost constantly on duty
Tyrol's fire departments have been called out to more than 110 incidents since Friday. "The current weather conditions are also challenging Tyrol's emergency services. Many of them have been working late into the evening and night to clear roads of fallen trees or restore supply interruptions," explains Mair.
