Fressnapf is also looking for animal welfare heroes in 2024
Every day, animal rights activists and volunteers in Austria are committed to animal welfare. Conversely, our furry friends also prove to be everyday heroes time and again. For over ten years, Fressnapf has been drawing attention to these special achievements with the "Tierisch engagiert" award and honoring their commitment with generous prize money. Committed projects and animal heroes can be nominated from now until May 5. You can find out how to apply here.
Throughout Austria, a large number of animal welfare organizations, small associations and volunteers take care of abandoned animals, care for sick four-legged friends and support people with disabilities with the help of therapy animals.
In 2024, Fressnapf will once again present the "Tierisch engagiert" award for special animal welfare projects and animal heroics. Dedicated people and organizations are invited to submit their animal welfare projects by 5 May. A total of 45,000 euros in prize money and a year's supply of food are up for grabs.
The relationship between humans and animals is extremely important and worthy of support. That is why we have been honoring special commitment for years and are once again bringing animal rights activists and animal heroes to the forefront this year!

Grand award gala on kroneTV
The festive award ceremony with all the winners of the "Animal Welfare Commitment of the Year" and the "Pet of the Year" will be broadcast on kroneTV around this year's World Animal Day on October 4.
Maggie Entenfellner: "Those who stand up for the weak, do great things and save lives are often quiet, even though their actions speak for themselves. I am therefore all the more grateful that Fressnapf takes a close look at who is doing good for animals and people, even during a major awards ceremony. Far too rarely do we show our appreciation to those people who have dedicated their lives to animal welfare. Let's change that together with Fressnapf! I look forward to receiving many entries!"
