Summer opens again at Lake Neusiedl
For 5 days from April 30 to May 5, the Surf Opening in Neusiedl am See offers a program that leaves nothing to be desired. Whether on the water or on land, there will be numerous trend sports and fun tryouts, as well as various sports competitions where you can admire the pros.
In Neusiedl/See the summer will be opened as usual. With the legendary Surf Opening, Austria rings in the most beautiful time of the year - for the 26th time! A promise for unforgettable days and nights - sport, lifestyle and party perfectly combined.
Lotsof sport
The sports program has never been as extensive as this year. In addition to the usual beach volleyball events, above all the start of the win2day Beach Volleyball Tour PRO with Austria's best beach volleyball players, there will be a mammoth program for all surfing and sailing fans in cooperation with the Austrian Sailing Association.
Competitive windsurfers and wingfoilers will get their money's worth at the ÖSV Long Distance Race. With the "24-The Lake Experience" sailing regatta, a new format for sailors celebrates its premiere at the Surf Opening. The regatta starts on Saturday at any yacht club around Lake Neusiedl. The participants have to collect as many nautical miles as possible within 24 hours before the winning crew is celebrated on the Ö3 lake stage on Sunday afternoon.
Of course, there can be no Surf Opening without a comprehensive water sports program. I am delighted that we have managed to join forces with the Austrian Sailing Association for the first time this year

There is also a windsurfing fun race for amateurs: in the "Racer of the Sea", anyone and everyone can compete against their surf buddy in a zigzag course. There are also windsurf try-outs, training sessions and courses.
Legendary parties
In addition to the exhibitor mile, which has been expanded to include a lifestyle market, the official parties are of course a must. There is also a novelty here this year. The Surf Opening is merging with Burgenland's hottest party organizers from "Born to beach" and thus expanding the party program, especially for the young target group. But as usual, there is also a suitable program for the young at heart.
A total of three different floors await the party people, so nothing stands in the way of partying until dawn.
