The weather is warm and cold, a runny nose or fever at school or kindergarten is almost impossible to prevent. Nureflex is often a faithful companion. But what does the medicine do to our children, is it really the highly praised panacea?
The nose is running, the eyes are red and the clinical thermometer is rising just in time for a goodnight kiss. Reaching for the Nureflex pack is almost obligatory to help the child relax and calm the parents' nerves. Minutes later, the child is sleeping peacefully and the illness is almost forgotten for the next six to eight hours.
Many parents swear by Nureflex - or Nurofen, as the medicine is called in Germany. Also because children tolerate it due to its strawberry and orange flavors. But how does it work and what are the dangers?
