Women in technology at the FH Kufstein Tirol

The FH Kufstein Tirol actively promotes gender equality, especially in technical degree programs.

Kufstein University of Applied Sciences is committed to diversity. This also includes the active promotion of gender equality at all levels and in all areas of the university.

In particular, areas in which women are underrepresented require increased attention. The university's ambitious goal is to develop and pursue measures for the targeted promotion of women, particularly in technical degree courses.

Alexandra Radinger, MBA reports on her entry into the technical and business degree course Facility Management & Real Estate Management: "I was interested in the field of real estate from an early age. When my professional environment changed significantly, I did the obvious thing and looked around for a degree course in real estate management. I listened to a few trial lectures at the FH Kufstein Tirol during an open house and quickly found my enthusiasm for this place of study." As a mother, wife and with no previous technical knowledge, she faced very special challenges when choosing her degree course: "The part-time version of this degree course enabled me to combine academic training and family life."

Studying while working 
Whether work or family - full-time study is not always possible when there are regular commitments. With its part-time degree courses, the FH Kufstein Tirol offers  the opportunity to complete a Bachelor's or Master's degree within the standard period of study. Courses take place on Fridays and Saturdays and the costs are limited to the Austrian tuition fee of just under 370 euros per semester.

Interested students can already secure a place now. The online application is already open for prospective Bachelor's and Master's students. Applicants who are registered by April 14, 2024 can already secure a place at the admission interviews on April 23, 2024.

Increased use of eLearning also helps students to combine their studies, job and leisure time. An unbeatable advantage of all part-time degree courses is the experience that the students themselves bring with them. As most of them work alongside their studies, they bring knowledge and a network in their field and the respective company with them - an advantage for everyone.

Insight into everyday university life
The FH Kufstein Tirol is offering an open day on April 13, 2024. At the open house, lecturers from the university of applied sciences will present the twelve Bachelor's and twelve Master's degree programs in person and give visitors a good first impression of the course content. Prospective Master's students can also register for individual meetings in the Master's Lounge to ask exclusive questions and have their individual application requirements checked.
