Post-mortem examination ordered
Danka case: Suspect (40) dies during interrogation
New developments in the Danka case. As the "Krone" reported, relatives of the two suspects were arrested on Saturday. Now the brother died during an interrogation. The Serbian police assume that it was a natural death. An autopsy should provide clarity.
Sunday, 3 a.m.: Dalibor Dragijević dies during an interrogation with the Serbian police. Officers explain that they administered first aid. But all help came too late for the 40-year-old. A forensic doctor is now to clarify whether the man really died of a heart attack.
The father of the deceased - who was also arrested on Saturday - is now being questioned and is expected to provide information about any pre-existing conditions of his son. Father and son are said to have helped the two suspects hide the body. And that is probably the question that interests the officers the most: Where is little Danka?
Police are searching for the body among a wide circle of friends and family
So far, there is no trace of the girl. According to the latest investigations, the mortal remains of the two-year-old are not - as previously assumed - in a garbage dump. Probably a false trail laid by the suspects. According to the investigation, buildings in the men's wide circle of friends and relatives as well as forests, disused farms and warehouses are now being searched.
The four men who have been questioned so far have laid countless false trails. The police therefore suspect that something even worse happened to the girl than the collision with the car, as all the detainees remain silent. Only Danka's body can shed light on what really happened to her.
