4th Vienna Electric Days
Heldenplatz under the sign of electromobility
From September 11 to 15, 2024, it's that time of year again: the 4th Vienna Electric Days will take place on Heldenplatz and transform Vienna into the center of electromobility. As Austria's largest e-mobility event, the event provides an overview of the latest e-car and two-wheeler innovations combined with information on a sustainable, conscious lifestyle and entertainment for the whole family.
The Vienna Electric Days 2022 and 2023 were a resounding success with more than 100,000 visitors each time. The high level of interest makes it clear: electric mobility is becoming more and more part of everyday life. Customers are benefiting from a steadily growing range of e-vehicles and innovative charging solutions. In any case, the transformation towards electromobility continued last year: With 47,621 new registrations (19.9% market share), almost one in five new vehicles was electric in the past car year (2022: 34,165 new registrations and 15.9% market share).
What to expect at the 4th Vienna Electric Days
The 4th Vienna Electric Days will once again offer a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in e-mobility and insights into a sustainable lifestyle. In addition to extensive information and advice on topics such as charging infrastructure and subsidies, visitors can also test drive the latest models directly at Heldenplatz. Information on subsidies and financing options will also be available.
"The Vienna Electric Days have the clear goal of driving forward the mobility transition. The event is designed as an open platform for all manufacturers and brands and can therefore be seen as a strong signal for the industry."
Andreas Martin, Geschäftsführer der Porsche Media & Creative und Veranstalter der Wiener Elektro Tage
Heldenplatz as a testing ground for new mobility technologies
A special highlight this year is the cooperation with Burghauptmannschaft Österreich and the association IAMTS - International Alliance for Mobility Testing and Standardization. This cooperation makes it possible to present innovative, individual and autonomous driving solutions directly on one of Vienna's most historic squares. As a result, Heldenplatz will not only become a testing ground for new mobility technologies, but also a place where the history and future of mobility meet, according to a press release on the event.
Lots of activities will be offered at the 4th edition of the Vienna Electric Days from September 11 to 15, 2024. In addition to test drives of numerous new electric cars from the global brands Audi, Ford, Skoda and Volkswagen, top acts will also perform and talks will be held on the topic of electromobility and the mobility revolution. High-profile guests from industry, politics and business will speak on the main stage about their approach to the topics of sustainability and mobility. The children's and family program also offers visitors interactive games and sustainable delicacies, making the event attractive for the youngest guests too.
